Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC Malaysia) 's mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. The core values are focusing on children's critical needs, celebrating the diversity of the programs – through the support of staff, volunteers, and donors who make them possible, staying true to their heritage of responsible stewardship and operating with accountability and transparency. Meanwhile, their vision is to improve the lives of needy children and their families by providing programs that can help strengthen families during difficult times.

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting children's welfare in the region, RMHC Malaysia has recently donated RM100,000 to 50 children's homes. The mock cheque presentation ceremony was held at the office of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM).

We believe that every child  has the right to grow up healthy and safe.

Azmir Jaafar, President of RMHC Malaysia, said that RMHC Malaysia is committed to improving Malaysian children's health and well-being. RHMC Malaysia strives to positively impact the life of a child by giving every child what they truly deserve.

Azmir, who is also McDonald's Malaysia's Managing Director and Operating Partner, noted that the donation was made possible thanks to the immense support and generous contributions from McDonald's customers via the RMHC Malaysia coin box and Self-Ordering Kiosks (SOKs) at more than 300 McDonald's restaurants nationwide, as well as business partners, McDonald's employees, and franchisees.

I am pleased to see an organisation like RMHC Malaysia come forward and give back to the community, especially during these challenging times. We are grateful on behalf of my ministry for the support of RMHC Malaysia and all Malaysians' hospitality because this gesture truly embodies the spirit of #kitajagakita in the country,' said Datuk Seri Rina.

About RMHC

In February 1990, RMHC Malaysia was founded as a non-profit organization to develop, find, and support programs in Malaysia capable of improving underprivileged children's health and well-being. In support of their core pillars of health, education, and welfare, the RMHC runs four primary services. The Ronald McDonald Home, the Ronald McDonald Sensory Room, the Gift of Smile, and the Back-to-School program are these services. With funding of more than RM30 million, RMHC has had a positive effect on more than 80,000 children's lives in the fields of health, education, and welfare over the last 30 years. McDonald's clients' generosity contributed through coin boxes and through the Self-Ordering Kiosks located at McDonald's. Restaurants, as well as corporate sponsorships and donations, makes these services possible. Please visit https://rmhc-malaysia.my/ for more information about RMHC.
