Jogging Could Actually Be BAD For You!!!

Ha, siapa yang suka jogging??? Iolss dah lama dah tak jogging ni... seriously lama giloss... since start preggy lagi kot??? Cuba bayangkan berapa lama dah tinggal tu??? Setahun ada kot??? Kenapa dikatakan jogging ni sebenarnya tak bagus untuk weolls??? Jom kita baca sedutan artikel ni...

Couch potatoes have often argued exercise is a waste of time. 

But new research backs them up and suggests jogging may be UNHEALTHY.

Scientist in the USA found that the people who live for the longest are those who only do a moderate amount of exercise.

This amounts to 2 to 3 hours of running a week. But the research showed that the people who do a lot of running, and those who do none, both have shorter lifespans.

The researchers are unsure why this is but say it does not seem to be related to hearth health. The researchers from the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the Lehigh Valley Health Network, in Pennysylvania, studied more than 3,800 runners.

The participants were both men and women and had an average age of 46. Nearly 70% of the participants said they ran more than 20 miles a week.

The researchers took into account what medication the people were taking and also whether they had high blood pressure, high cholesterol or a history of smoking. They found that none of these factors could be used to explain why the people who ran the furthest had shorter lifespans.

Dr. James O'Keefe, who reviewed the research, believes the findings could be caused by 'wear and tear' on the bodies of people who do a lot of running. He advises people to aim for about two and a half hours of slow to moderate paced running a week.

Well, my comment is, actually dalam Islam sendiri dah ada satu konsep yang semua orang tau, konsep wasatiyah...bersederhana dalam semua perkara... Apa2 perkara sekali pun kita tak boleh terkurang atau terlebih2 sangat melakukannya atau mengamalkannya... Itulah keindahan Islam kann??? Ada sebab musabab di setiap sebalik sesuatu tu.... So... kita sendiri semua maklum melalui common sense kita... Terlalu kurang pun tak bagus, terlalu berlebih2 pun tak bagus... makanya... bersederhana sajalah dalam setiap perkara yang kita lakukan...betul tak???

  1. used to love jogging...masa belum kawen dulu mmg aktif, but not that active...moderately... tapi skang tak sempat...hehee....apa2 pun sederhana lah kan...yg tak elok tu kalau melampau sgt agaknya, diluar kemampuan bdn kita...

    terima kasih farah atas ingatan nie.. dahulu masa bujang mselim3 selalu jogging .. utk kesihatan.. best berpeluh2 . Ringan aje badan rasa nyer.. cuma nak istiqamah jogging nie.. yg agak susah... pape bersederhana aje .. janji jaga pemakanan dan kesihatan. Insaallah..

    spent masa untuk joging dalam stengah jam setiap hari :)
    blik keje 5 stengah,
    15 minit pjalan balik.
    kul 6 suku gerak ke tmn joging.
    kul 7 siap joging :)

  10. sama lah.. dah lama tak jogging.. sejak mengandung.. waktu mengandung ada buat brisk walk.. sbb time tu dah overdue..baby tak nak keluar. haha. sekali sekala mmg kena jogging gak kan. kalau tak badan terasa lemau. tp nasib baik kt rumah mmg byk keje kena buat sampai berpeluh2. hehehe

  12. jarang-jarang gi jogging.. kalau pergi ppun, time husband ajak hujung minggu.. kalau dia kerja hujung minggu, memang tak gi lah :)
